Insight: What’s your personal mantra?
You’ve got to start with good intentions. Every decision that you make can improve or hinder your progress in other areas such as how you diet, or what type of health or fitness plan you follow. It’s important to find the right balance of positive and negative as you’re making any decision.
Some important examples of positive versus negative include going for a marathon, getting a degree, going out on a date, and staying healthy. When someone sees you working out, and you’re doing it to enhance your body, they may take you more seriously.
I always remember the challenge I faced in 2012 when I started work as a fitness coach to build muscle for a marathon event. Even though I had no prior running experience, everyone I talked to said my work required a strong body and an energetic attitude. My main concern was청주출장업소 that, if I weren’t on a diet, I would feel as if I needed to change my lifestyle.
In truth, I couldn’t think of a motivation that would make me do that sort of effort in my personal life. But when I met someone who had achieved a similar goal, I realized the need for that personal growth and that I had to work harder. I felt I wasn’t meeting that goal of having a balanced body and a healthy attitude at that time. And that’s when I realized what had been missing in my life.
I also realized that every person has a unique set of attributes, such as personality traits, hobbies or talents that can add to or subtract from their fitness goals. It’s important to find the right balance in every situation. One example of this is someone who is on the fence about the importance of exercise, but may start to see benefits when doing just 2-3 minutes of brisk walking. I always encourage people to find the right balance between positive and negative when starting something.
